Thank you for your interest in Bio Bio Expeditions World Wide!

After spending years traveling and guiding rivers all over the world, we launched Bio Bio Expeditions in 1992 to share our passion for travel, culture, and wild places with curious, adventurous travelers like you! We have always been committed to quality, authenticity, giving back, inclusivity, and having life-changing, soul-enriching, rip-roaring awesome adventures in the most beautiful places! Our roots began running river trips on the Bio Bio River in Chile, and have grown to the lovingly curated, multi-faceted adventure travel vacations we offer to iconic destinations worldwide, including: Patagonia: Chile & Argentina, the Zambezi River and on Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro in Africa, Bhutan in Asia, Machu Picchu in Peru, and the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador and of course offering the classic multiday river trips in the western United States, such as the main Salmon, middle fork Salmon and the Rogue.

At Bio Bio Expeditions, we pride ourselves in the quality of our staff – from the home office Team in Truckee, California, to our crew of international rafting, kayaking, and trekking superstars who have established a new standard of excellence in adventure travel. They are known for their friendly, caring hospitality and their knowledge of the culture, history and ecology in the many countries we visit. Your safety is always our number one priority. Our hand-picked guide crews have years of experience, multiple certifications and training, and are consummate, gifted professionals who have dedicated their lives to being the best guides on the planet.
