Letter from the Owners
Dear Adventure Traveler,
Thank you for your interest in Bio Bio Expeditions World Wide!
Despite the world having to deal with the Covid pandemic, we are keeping our sights on the travel revival and are eager to find the right trip for you while the evolution shows us what is possible now and what has to wait a little longer!
In 1992, we launched Bio Bio Expeditions based on our genuine love for travel and a desire to explore the most beautiful and remote spots on the globe. Our adventure travel company has grown in size and scope; from our first trips on the Bio Bio River in Chile, and now include multi-faceted adventure travel vacations to iconic destinations worldwide including Patagonia: Chile & Argentina, the Zambezi River and on Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro in Africa, Bhutan in Asia, Machu Picchu in Peru, and the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador and of course offering the classic multiday river trips in the western United States, such as the main Salmon, middle fork Salmon and the Rogue.
Our goal at Bio Bio Expeditions is to share our expertise and connect you to wild places with unsurpassed enthusiasm. We are directly involved with the many important aspects of your adventure travel: from the original trip planning, to picking well-appointed lodges, training guides, incorporating the locals into our trips to enhance the cultural interaction and finally interpreting your goals to make sure we have a good match! In doing so we as co-founders and company owners wear many hats and show we have an undying passion for what we do!
We ask people who have traveled with us what genuinely sets Bio Bio apart. They tell us that it’s beyond exotic destinations, great guides, amazing food, and stellar accommodations. They reminisce about the magical chemistry of adventure and camaraderie. They tell us it is about discovery of not only wilderness, but of themselves, and about renewing their enthusiasm for life. They say it’s to be far away and yet feel totally at home… and to return to find their lives and perspectives changed forever.
Our Bio Bio adventure vacations are led by a crew of international rafting and kayaking, and trekking superstars who are establishing a new standard of excellence in adventure travel tourism. They are known for their friendly, caring hospitality and their knowledge of the culture, history and ecology in the many countries we visit. Your safety is always our number one priority. The guide crews we pick have many years experience and their maturity and professionalism allow us, and you to sleep well at night!
At Bio Bio Expeditions, our team is closely tied together by a true desire to make your adventure with us pure magic. Our intent is to exceed your expectations and offer you an authentic, unique journey to some of the planet’s most astonishing places. Whether you are rafting through the Cotahuasi River’s canyon in southern Peru, hiking the Inca trail, climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, trekking in Torres del Paine in Patagonia , staying at our unique Safari style Patagonia river camp, or paddling the azure clear waters of the Futaleufu River in Chile, our goal is that you will absolutely love your experience with us!
We look forward to sharing our passion for adventure with you and warmly invite you to join us. Start your next adventure by giving us a call!
