Trip of a Lifetime I have been traveling with Bio Bio for the past 12 years all over the world. Each trip has been fantastic but the Zambezi Explorer is at the top. From the safari camps to the river trips (the canoe safari and the adrenaline packed rafting of the class V big water below the Falls) this trip has everything you could wish for.The safari lodges are first class (we stayed at the Imbabala Safari Lodge and the Elephant Camp, both of which have luxurious accommodations as bookends to the time on the river.For the river sections, you camp on banks of the mighty Zambezi. The canoe safari is sedate when it comes to whitewater but makes up for that with sheer beauty and the unique experience a paddling past hippos, elephants, and crocodiles among the multitude of game you see above the Falls. The rafting is in warm water with huge class IV and V rapids. Bio Bio's guides are world-class and give you all the adrenaline you could want, in the safest manner possible.If you have a chance to experience the Zambezi with Bio Bio, don't hesitate. You won't regret it. I can highly recommend any trip with Bio Bio. Marc and Laurence (the owners) really take pride in what they offer and make sure that you will always have a memorable experience.

What an amazing trip! We were the first group to open the Futa season of 2019/2020, and it was one of the best weeks of our lives. The guides were brilliant, the food was awesome and the river was even better!!! Thanks again Stan and all of your team for making this week happen !!!!! These guys are awesome! I've been on a number of trips with them over the past couple decades. In the States, South America and Africa! Many of the best times of my life! Exciting, relaxing, adventurous, friendly, invigorating, life altering! Started with them as a bachelor years ago hitting class V in Chile with 5-star camping, including a wood fired hot tub after the day’s rafting adventure. Another trip I enjoyed a multi-day trip down the Zambezi river below Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe followed by a few days of safari! Eventually used Bio Bio for my honeymoon to Kilimanjaro, safari in Tanzania, and beach time in Zanzibar. Highly recommend them for both adventure and leisure!!

My husband, Guy, and I traveled to Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia with Bio Bio Expeditions in October of 2018. Our experience with the adventure company was, in a word, extraordinary. The Safari Lodges Bio Bio contracts with are top notch in dining, room accommodations, service and photographic safaris. One of the highlights was spending a full day in Botswana's Chobe National Park. First we climbed aboard a boat and took a 2.5 hour tour of the Chobe River just upstream from the confluence with the Zambezi. We were struck by the richness of the fauna both in the river and along her banks. Hippos, crocodiles, monitor lizards, cape buffalo, antelope, and too many species of bird to count. We then climbed aboard a safari vehicle where we were treated to an awesome three hour overland look at the park's terrestrial residents. We literally saw herds and herds of elephants, a few giraffes, many zebras, lions, wildebeast, sable and impala. We even had the good fortune to spot a leopard lounging in the branches of a tree. We camped several nights along the mighty Zambezi, first canoeing her flat water, and then rafting her thrilling Class III - V rapids. What a rush! Guy and I truly cannot say enough good about Bio Bio Expeditions. Over the past twenty years, we have traveled to Chile, Peru, Ecuador, The Galapagos Islands and Tanzania with Bio Bio. Each trip was wonderfully staffed and extremely well orchestrated. We may never use another adventure travel company.

Entire stay with BioBio was a highlight. The rafting was over the top, the grounds were shangri-la, the guides fun & pr Cool safari tents on a roofed platform with fantastic views of the river. The food was fresh, variable, and plentyful. Wine at the table, a small brewery on site for cool craft beer after an exciting day of paddling class IV and V rapids. Many other interesting activities available as well.
