My husband, Guy, and I traveled to Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia with Bio Bio Expeditions in October of 2018. Our experience with the adventure company was, in a word, extraordinary. The Safari Lodges Bio Bio contracts with are top notch in dining, room accommodations, service and photographic safaris. One of the highlights was spending a full day in Botswana's Chobe National Park. First we climbed aboard a boat and took a 2.5 hour tour of the Chobe River just upstream from the confluence with the Zambezi. We were struck by the richness of the fauna both in the river and along her banks. Hippos, crocodiles, monitor lizards, cape buffalo, antelope, and too many species of bird to count. We then climbed aboard a safari vehicle where we were treated to an awesome three hour overland look at the park's terrestrial residents. We literally saw herds and herds of elephants, a few giraffes, many zebras, lions, wildebeast, sable and impala. We even had the good fortune to spot a leopard lounging in the branches of a tree. We camped several nights along the mighty Zambezi, first canoeing her flat water, and then rafting her thrilling Class III - V rapids. What a rush! Guy and I truly cannot say enough good about Bio Bio Expeditions. Over the past twenty years, we have traveled to Chile, Peru, Ecuador, The Galapagos Islands and Tanzania with Bio Bio. Each trip was wonderfully staffed and extremely well orchestrated. We may never use another adventure travel company.

Absolutely Perfect I'm on my 3rd trip with BBX this year. Look no further. This outfit is top shelf. Marc is a world class operator. I never felt unsafe. I was always exhilarated. Never felt a schedule but was always engaged. I felt like part of Africa, not just a spectator. Whenever I thought I might get bored, the Bio Bio crew always surprised. 4 of us guys didn't feel up to one particular day of rafting. We were surprised that even though we stayed at camp, the Bio crew arranged for massuses to drop by and give us all Zambezi Riverside treatments. Very classy. The food is outstanding. The equipment, crew, porters and guides are the best. Highlights: African sundowner. Elephant Camp. Vic Falls Lodge.....well everything really! Not a single complaint. Small group of like minded travelers with all levels of experience from none to Class 5 riders. (Check their Chile & Peru trips!) Shhhh.

Best conference ever. Every class had a lesson you could use in practice and in life! The rafting was so much fun. The team was exceptional making a a fun collaborative environment! Friends were made I would recommend this to anyone with a zest for life and desire for knowledge in the wilderness setting!!

A MUST! An amazing adventure down the Zambezi. Could not imagine any other way to see this part of the world. The Bio Bio guides are some of the funnest, kindest, most professional, and knowledgeable people imaginable. A trip I’ll never forget. I rarely write travel reviews. This one deserved it.
