Bio Bio Expeditions is grounded in our deep love for the wild rivers and mountains of Chile. We began running trips in 1993 on the Bio Bio River and named our adventure travel company out of respect for this iconic river and the indigenous people living on its banks.

Unfortunately, the Bio Bio River was eventually dammed, so we ventured further south to the Futaleufu River in Chilean Patagonia and chose a most stunning and serene location as the setting for one of the preeminent riverside basecamps on the planet! Your hosts Lorenzo and Terry of Bio Bio Patagonia will make you feel like family the moment you arrive.

The Futaleufu River basecamp continually sets the standard for multi-sport adventure, cuisine, guides and staff, in addition to being a sanctuary to recharge and revitalize yourself. Join us in Patagonia or explore one of our exciting international adventures.
