Adventure Travel in Patagonia!
Bio Bio Expeditions was born on Chile’s wild rivers. Owner Marc Goddard first came to Chile in 1991 to run the famous Bio Bio River, then pushed south in his old 1972 Land Cruiser until he discovered the legendary Futaleufú. That journey sparked a lifelong love for Patagonia’s raw, untamed beauty, and inspired Bio Bio Expeditions.
Today, the Futaleufú is still our favorite destination and the centerpiece of our adventures. Experience one of the world’s most exhilarating rivers from the safari-style camp alongside its turquoise shores. Expect big whitewater, beautiful hikes, horseback rides, daily yoga, riverside hot tubs, great meals, and long starry nights, all crafted into the perfect mix of action and relaxation.
Whether you’re chasing Class V thrills or are brand-new to paddling, we design each trip around your ideal level of adventure. Paddle while your partner horseback rides, tackle the Azul’s rapids, or unwind with a massage. On the Fu, you choose how wild you want to go.
After paddling the Futaleufú, continue into southern Patagonia to explore Torres del Paine or the massive glaciers of Argentina’s Los Glaciares National Park.
If you’re ready for authentic, high-energy Patagonia adventure, the Futaleufú, and Bio Bio Expeditions, are waiting.
