Adventure Travel in Patagonia!
Adventure travel in Patagonia is what we’ve been doing for more than 30 years, and we’d modestly consider ourselves experts in the region. It all began on Chile’s untamed Bio Bio River. From 1991–1997, Marc Goddard guided more than 50 multi-day expeditions there, helping establish Bio Bio Expeditions as a mainstay in the rafting world.
Marc later turned his attention farther south to the Futaleufú, a river that would become the heart of the company. As a partner in the original Bio Bio Expeditions camp, he helped develop it into one of the world’s most beloved river camps, now operated by Lorenzo and Terry Alvarez.
Over the years, the Futaleufú Valley has evolved, offering more comfort and more ways to experience Patagonia while still retaining its wild beauty. Today, we’re proud to offer a variety of adventurous and unique trips along these turquoise waters, each tailored to our guests’ interests and style of travel. Accommodations range from lodge-to-lodge experiences and glamping retreats to one-of-a-kind treehouse stays. Activities include everything from Class II–V whitewater rafting and kayaking to hiking, horseback riding, and morning yoga.
Every adventure includes the comforts that make the experience even more memorable: riverside hot tubs, delicious meals, and professional, experienced guides. Each trip is thoughtfully designed to create the perfect balance of adventure and comfort.
If hiking in the famous Torres Del Paine and Los Glaciares National Parks is more your style, we have you covered and we’re happy to book this for you as a stand alone itinerary or as an extension to your rafting adventure.
We’d love to help you plan your own Patagonia experience in what has truly become our home away from home. Give us a call and let’s start designing the perfect adventure for you.
