Well. That was pretty special. Just going to add to the stellar 5 star reviews. This is a very special place that is peopled with very special human beings. Its not easy to get to, the weather is unpredictable, the nights can be cold, the river is not to be taken for granted, but you will be looked after by amazing human beings that are world class in what they do and you will have a camp environment that will spoil you.

Best adventure outfitter, hands-down The Zambezi Explorer trip was my third whitewater/multi-sport trip with Bio Bio, and there's no other company I'd entrust my safety (or life) to, especially on a challenging river like the Zambezi. Their guides are the best in the business, with the highest level of credentials with regard to safety, and experience, but they're also personable and fun, but always professional. This trip was a once-in-a-lifetime adventure for me, and on every count, Bio Bio met and exceeded my expectations- their support staff and contractors in Zimbabwe, Botswana and Zambia, included. From the laidback ambiance of Imbabala Safari Lodge to the incredible experience of The Elephant Camp, the safari portions of the trip -especially our guides- were a highlight. Canoeing and rafting the Zambezi provided a lot of adventure, with our safety always being top priority, but everything is top-notch, from meals to campfire time. I appreciate the fact Bio Bio integrates cultural awareness and employs locals, and visiting a school providing us the opportunity to donate items to the kids. I've also found that BBX trips attract like-minded people- well-traveled, adventurous and fun. Over the last 12 years, BBX has given me some of my best memories, adventures and friendships.

Flawless trip in paradise on Earth My partner and I went on a week-long multipart trip here, mostly rafting, with some inflatable kayaking and horse riding too. It was utterly wonderful. The guides, the hosts, the food, the activities, the accommodation, the environment: perfect. The staff (and the other guests) really made this trip. The rafting is very intense and exciting in places: just what we wanted!

Absolutely Perfect I'm on my 3rd trip with BBX this year. Look no further. This outfit is top shelf. Marc is a world class operator. I never felt unsafe. I was always exhilarated. Never felt a schedule but was always engaged. I felt like part of Africa, not just a spectator. Whenever I thought I might get bored, the Bio Bio crew always surprised. 4 of us guys didn't feel up to one particular day of rafting. We were surprised that even though we stayed at camp, the Bio crew arranged for massuses to drop by and give us all Zambezi Riverside treatments. Very classy. The food is outstanding. The equipment, crew, porters and guides are the best. Highlights: African sundowner. Elephant Camp. Vic Falls Lodge.....well everything really! Not a single complaint. Small group of like minded travelers with all levels of experience from none to Class 5 riders. (Check their Chile & Peru trips!) Shhhh.

What Dreams Are Made Of A magical nook in the World. This is a place that entices you to settle in and observe every moment. Euphoria is a highly oxygenated breathe away. Wine, coffee and beer taste extra delicious between Futaleufu Laps!
