Shana Sims

Shana is an Oregon-based guide who spends her summers on rivers across the western US, mainly in Oregon, California, and Alaska. A true nomad, she typically heads south for the Austral summer, guiding both hiking and river trips in Patagonia. When she’s not working, she’s usually off on her own adventures—packrafting remote rivers, sailing, horseback riding, or traveling to far-flung corners of the world.

Shana is a powerful and highly capable Class V whitewater guide, known for her confidence, precision, and calm presence in demanding conditions. She has a knack for putting people at ease while navigating some of the most challenging rivers out there. With over a decade of guiding experience, she brings both skill and authenticity to every trip, and genuinely loves sharing wild, beautiful places with her guests.
