Itinerary
What to expect
Days 1–3: Wine Country to Coastal Trekking
Kick things off in Blenheim, the heart of Marlborough wine country, with vineyard views and a welcome feast. Then dive straight into adventure—cruise into Queen Charlotte Sound and hike the iconic Queen Charlotte Track through lush forest and ridgeline views. Wrap up in sunny Nelson after more scenic trekking and a boat ride through the Sounds.
Days 4–6: Ocean Wildlife & Wild West Coast
Paddle through the turquoise waters of Abel Tasman National Park, spotting seals and maybe even dolphins. Then turn up the adrenaline with whitewater rafting on the Buller River before unwinding in alpine hot springs. Journey down the rugged West Coast—hike through ancient limestone landscapes, see the famous Pancake Rocks, and explore Hokitika’s wild beaches.
Days 7–8: Rainforest, Glaciers & Epic Views
Hike above the wild coastline at Okarito with sweeping views of rainforest, wetlands, and the Southern Alps. Continue to Franz Josef Glacier, where you’ll have a full day to choose your own adventure—whether it’s a heli-hike on the glacier, a scenic flight, or a peaceful nature walk.
Days 9–10: Helicopters, Jet Boats & Alpine Lakes
Take things to the next level with a helicopter flight into remote Mount Aspiring National Park, followed by a hike and thrilling jet boat ride out. Then slow it down in Wanaka with a stunning hike overlooking alpine lakes and plenty of time to relax in this laid-back mountain town.
Days 11–13: Fiords, Iconic Trails & Grand Finale
Head into Fiordland for a hike on the Kepler Track and optional glowworm cave visit. Cruise through the dramatic fjords of Milford Sound, then hike a section of the famous Routeburn Track for jaw-dropping alpine views. Finish with a scenic drive to Queenstown, the adventure capital, where your journey ends on a high note.

This trip combined hiking, whitewater rafting, helicopter and boat rides in the most beautiful pristine country I’ve ever visited. The guides, “AD” and Michelle were very knowledgeable and friendly. They accommodated the groups different physical activity levels to ensure everyone had a good time. The food and accommodations were amazing. I would recommend this trip for anyone wanting to combine outdoor activity with high quality CE.
