Itinerary

What to expect

Days 1–3: Mosjøen, Mountains & Glacier Adventure

You arrive in Mosjøen and settle into the historic Fru Haugans Hotel, where your journey begins with a thrilling zipline across the river and a welcome dinner overlooking the surrounding peaks. The next day, you head deep into the Okstindan mountains, hiking to a remote cabin set beside a dramatic glacier. Here, you unplug and immerse yourself in the Arctic wilderness before stepping onto the ice itself for a guided glacier hike—crampons, crevasses, and unforgettable views included. After descending, you return to Mosjøen for a relaxing evening and well-earned comfort.

Day 4: Rivers, Rafting & the Coastal Shift

The adventure ramps up with whitewater rafting on the Auster Vefsna River near Trofors, navigating powerful rapids through rugged canyon landscapes. After lunch at a wilderness basecamp, the journey shifts from inland to coast as you travel west to Brønnøysund. Settling into oceanfront cabins at Norsk Havbrukssenter, you unwind with sea views, a sauna, and a fresh coastal dinner.

Days 5–6: Vega Island & Coastal Culture

You hike through the legendary hole of Torghatten before ferrying into the Vega archipelago, a UNESCO-listed landscape shaped by generations of island life. Based at Vega Havhotell, you explore this quiet, powerful place through a mix of adventure and culture—climbing the Vega Trappa for sweeping views, trying a via ferrata along the cliffs, and visiting the World Heritage Centre to learn about the unique tradition of harvesting eiderdown in harmony with seabirds.

Day 7: Coastal Heritage & Nordic Cuisine

Leaving the islands behind, you travel along the Helgeland coast with stops that bring Norway’s culture to life, including the Petter Dass Museum. In Nesna, you experience modern coastal flavors with a local brewery lunch before arriving at the intimate Til Elise fra Marius, where a refined six-course tasting menu showcases the region’s ingredients and stories.

Day 8: The Coastal Highway & Arctic Crossing

Today you follow the stunning Kystriksveien, winding through islands, fjords, and open sea. A ferry crossing takes you over the Arctic Circle, with opportunities for short hikes overlooking glaciers and vast coastal landscapes. By evening, you arrive at the remote island of Støtt and settle into Støtt Brygge for a peaceful night by the sea.

Days 9–10: Støtt Island & Ocean Adventures

Life slows down on Støtt, where you dive into authentic coastal culture with a visit to the fishing village museum and time to explore by bike or on foot. Adventure continues with your choice of deep-sea fishing or a high-speed RIB excursion, followed by a guided kayaking trip through sheltered waters and island-dotted horizons—an immersive way to experience Norway’s raw and beautiful coastline.

Days 11–12: Bodø, Saltstraumen & Farewell

A scenic high-speed ferry carries you to Bodø, where you explore the harbor town before heading out on a thrilling RIB safari to Saltstraumen, home to the world’s strongest tidal current. After one final dinner by the water, your journey comes to an end—leaving you with lasting impressions of Norway’s wild coast, powerful landscapes, and deep connection to nature.
