Trip Highlights
- Many outfitted Rogue trips have 18 to 24 guests – but our Rogue trips are smaller and more intimate (8 to 13 guests).
- They are by one of the most experienced guide staffs top to bottom in the world (many of our guides have well over 10 years of experience). Guides who truly enjoy sharing the outdoors and their outdoor experiences with others.
- We are well known for our food and the guides will prepare a three-course meal featuring local and organic produce and products. Our food is homemade, diverse, and served with a combination of style and wilderness practicality
- We have built a reputation for innovative wilderness camping and attention to detail. Each afternoon you will float into a fully set up camp– kitchen, drinks, chairs and shade (our ‘outdoor living room’), and your tents. Leaving you more time to explore and be with family and friends. We pride ourselves on unparalleled personal service – Not only will your river trip be the most fun trip you’ll ever take, it will also be the most comfortable.
- Our trips are fully outfitted and include all your personal camping gear – tents, sleeping pads (they are over 3” thick!), and sleeping bags. All you need to bring is your clothes and your toothbrush.
About this trip
Rogue River Rafting Adventure
The Rogue River is an American classic so iconic locals simply call it “the Canyon.” One of the original Wild & Scenic Rivers, the Rogue delivers the perfect summer combo of fun whitewater, big beaches, and deep wilderness, all wrapped in rich pioneer history. Remote river lodges and old homesteads still dot the canyon, giving the trip a timeless, storybook feel.
Dropping out of the Cascades and into the rugged Siskiyou Mountains, the Rogue feels like a scene from a Planet Earth episode: polished rock narrows, fern-lined grottoes, waterfalls, forested hillsides, and swimming holes you’ll never want to leave. Bald eagles soar overhead, otters play along the banks, and black bears roam the hills.
With 80+ splashy friendly rapids, the Rogue is exciting without being intimidating and perfect for everyone from first-timers to seasoned paddlers. Float in an oar boat, paddle with the crew, or up the adrenaline in an inflatable kayak. It’s not uncommon to see three generations sharing the adventure.
Run in Bio Bio style, Rogue trips feature outstanding guides, great food, comfortable camps or classic wilderness lodges, and all the little touches that turn a river trip into something special. For many of our guides, the Rogue isn’t just a destination; it’s home. And after a few days in the Canyon, you’ll understand why.

What to expect
Wild & Scenic Rogue River
4-Day Camping Trip Option
Days 1–2: Drop Into the Canyon
Join the group at Galice Resort, pack dry bags, meet the crew, and push off straight into the wild heart of the Rogue. The canyon closes in quickly as you run Rainie Falls, hike to the historic Whiskey Creek miners’ cabin, and start spotting otters, eagles, and maybe a black bear. Day two flows through Windy and Kelsey Creek Canyons, with classic Rogue rapids, crystal-clear side streams, prime swimming holes, and optional inflatable kayaking. Evenings are spent on big sandy beaches with great food, campfire stories, and stars overhead.
Days 3–4: Canyon Classics & The Grand Finale
Day three delivers the Rogue’s greatest hits, Horseshoe Bend, the surreal narrows of Mule Creek Canyon (float it in just a life jacket!), and the legendary Blossom Bar Rapid. After a mellow float through Huggins Canyon, you enjoy one last riverside camp. The final morning brings inner gorges, jumping rocks, a bald eagle rookery, and excellent chances to spot black bears before taking out early in the afternoon. From there, head back to Galice or continue on to the Oregon coast.
Lodging
Where you'll stay
Wake up to the sound of a fish jumping in the river. A guide taps your tent – she has a mug of fresh coffee for you. Your toes squeak through the chilly sand of the beach on your way to the river’s edge. Set your coffee on a rock and splash fresh water on your face. You’re awake. You’re here. Who knows what day it is…
Your river guides are joking with each other, sipping hot beverages, cracking eggs and slicing strawberries. The sky is brilliant – a color you haven’t seen for a long time. The canyon walls are majestic but familiar: they’ve been your home for the last two days. An eagle silently soars overhead, waking up with the rising sunlight. You’re awake. You’re here. Who knows what day it is…
At the time you’d normally be cracking open your laptop and checking email, you’re headed down the slope of a wave hearing the rush of the wilderness all around you. Hoots and hollers slide up the river walls from the boats below. You dig your paddle into the water and your body awakens, not because you’re exercising, but because it has to. You have a boat to get down the river.
Your arms are tired and your hair is a mess. You’re awake. You’re here. Who knows what day it is…
There is something very unique about a river trip – besides leaving your phone and the internet behind – there is a unique feeling to being led through nature by nature itself. The river supplies the direction, the views, the action, and the speed and rhythm of your days,
For most of our trips you do not need to be an experienced adventurer, an athlete, or even to have ever touched a paddle or spent a night under the stars. Our trips are designed for those who like or want to be introduced to the outdoors and our goal is to make these places we love accessible to everyone.
Guests are surprised by the quality of the food, the overall comfort, and the many intangibles that characterize extended time on the river. We are extremely proud of our comfortable camping in wilderness places. The camping is deluxe, the food is excellent and served in a dining room where the sky is the ceiling, and you can leave everything to us – the planning, the cooking, the cleaning, and even the gear. Just bring your toothbrush and your sense of adventure
