Fly Fishing School CME
This exciting Wilderness Medicine conference takes place in the context of a professionally guided
fly-fishing school / adventure is designed for all skill levels. All week we will be targeting steelhead (ocean-run rainbow trout) that are known for their beauty and incredible fight.
Northern California is home to some of the finest fly-water in the lower 48. The school is located at Paradise Point, a gorgeous 20 acre deluxe tent camp on the banks of the legendary Klamath River.

Fly Fishing School CME
Learn, fish, and unwind on this Wilderness Medicine CME fly-fishing adventure in Northern California. Designed for all skill levels, the program pairs expert instruction from top casting coaches with the thrill of targeting hard-fighting steelhead on legendary rivers.
Basecamp is Paradise Point, a deluxe riverside tent camp on the Klamath River with hot showers, great food, and prime fishing steps from your tent. With a 2:1 angler-to-guide ratio, beautiful fall weather, and abundant wildlife, this trip is the perfect mix of education, adventure, and world-class fly fishing.

CME ACCREDITATION INFORMATION
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint providership of the Center for Emergency Medical Education and Wilderness and Travel Medicine. The Center for Emergency Medical Education is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The Center for Emergency Medical Education designates this live activity for a maximum of 16 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.

Itinerary
What to expect
Day 1: Arrival, Orientation & CME
Arrive at Paradise Point by mid-morning and settle into the riverside tent camp. The day focuses on Wilderness Medicine CME sessions and an introduction to the Klamath River’s fishery and history, with optional fishing on private water in the afternoon. Evening free time, followed by dinner.
Days 2–5: Fly Fishing & CME on the Klamath and Scott Rivers
Spend four full days fishing some of Northern California’s best steelhead water. Beginners enjoy a Fly Fishing 101 course with casting and technique instruction on private water, while intermediate and advanced anglers head out with guides in drift boats. Days are filled with guided fishing on the Klamath and Scott Rivers, with evening happy hour, CME lectures, and group dinners back at camp.
Day 6: Final Fishing & Departure
Enjoy a final morning of guided fishing before wrapping up and departing Paradise Point in the afternoon.
Lodging
Where you'll stay
We welcome anglers (up to 8-10 at one time) to stay with us in our camp accommodations. Large comfortable tents with cots and thick cozy mattresses are set for you just steps from the river. Bathhouse with multiple stalls has stone shower floors, granite counter tops, and hot water.
