Bomani Tented Camp was AMAZING! The guides Harris, Tuso, and Pete delivered without disappointment. They were inviting and staying later by the campfire was the time when I was able to get to know each of them on a more personal level. On the guided drives each of them gave me a different perspective fulfilled with knowledge.A highlite was going to the communal village. Africa people are so welcoming and humble. I got pictures with local children and the moms were so exciting that I connected to them. There was no expectation just a mutual respect for each other. It is a whole different world to what I am used to. It was a pleasure to spend Africa with them!!!!I want to add also that the food was the best at Bomani! I even collected recipes for the breads and soups. The food was delivered with heart and I was treated like family. The hospitality crew was detailed and always ready to help! I miss all of these wonderful people already!Finally, the rhino experience was as most would say "an adrenaline rush." This massive animal 8 feet from you....the fear, yet excitement goes without words. Thank you to everyone at Bomani!!!! I'll see you again some day!

Wilderness Medicine Conference for Emergency Medicine 10 Stars plus. An absolutely fabulous conference with multiple lectures pertaining to wilderness medicine given by Matthew DeClerck ER Wildernesses Med Specialist. Some lectures in conference rooms- some in a bus enroute to our 8 or 9 mile hiking start destinations. The conference was in Bhutan. A beautiful country known for its Happiness and its simplicity of life. Not many luxuries in Bhutan but i met many new friends and a good time was had by all. Our drivers and Tour Guides were amazing. They knew everything about the history and culture and we visited many monasteries On the mountain and each one has its own character and is lovely- even if you are not Buddhist, you will find the entire religion warm and calming and fascinating. Visit Bhutan before the opportunity slips by you. You do need a special Visa and a guide as far as I know to visit the country. If can go on any Bio Bio Trip it will be worth you while. The food was great, accommodations were upscale for the area, and the guides went out of their way to accommodate each and every person no matter what eccentric quirks they had . They were very sweet. I give them top dog grades and hope to plan my next year trip with 😊 I love trekking. The Tiger’s Nest was the Ultimate!

A must for whitewater enthusiasts First, the river itself is fantastic. Beautiful, clear blue. Never quite seen anything like it. From fun and splashy to fierce Class v rapids. Second, world class guides - here’s to Garrett, Whitney, and Stan. Third, meticulous attention to safety. I’m guessing the number of safety kayaks and catarafts outnumbered the guests. Fourth, the setting. Simply spectacular, not just northern Patagonia but where the camp is located - right along the banks of the Futaleufú. But it was the people - the guides, the staff, the wonderful Terri, Marc, and Lorenzo, and the other guests - that set this trip apart. If you can swing it - do it. I promise you won’t regret it.
